What was your first taste of real advertising (internship, first job, college class)? I became aware of Advertising at an early age via underwear ads in the New York Times Sunday magazine and have been an avid follower ever since. As the sign industry is directly related to helping businesses develop awareness of their company it was a natural fit to become involved in AAF.
Why do you participate in AAF? Helping the club grow and prosper as a board member for the last few years has allowed me to meet a wide range of advertising professionals in a variety of Medias. We’re all in advertising but a diverse group. One of the highlights each year is being involved with the scholarship program we sponsor for area college students. There are a lot of creative students out sure to give us new ideas in this industry in a few years!

What was your first taste of real advertising (internship, first job, college class)? She has a love of advertising that bloomed when she watched her father handle marketing and sales for Maytag in Southern California. She became more enamored with it as he rose through the company and was thrilled when he won a Gold Effie for Advertising Effectiveness for the “Maytag Year 2000 Guarantee”. Although she once dreamed of working in advertising herself, and perhaps winning an award, now Dr. Moe is motivated to teach students about advertising and giving them the tools so that they can win advertising awards someday.
